Joe Proudman is a wedding, commercial and editorial photographer based in the beautiful South Lake Tahoe, where he works as the sports editor at the Tahoe Daily Tribune.

Joe is originally from California’s Central Valley, where he grew up among corn fields and fighter jets. He attended West Hills Community College before transferring to San Jose State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Photography, while also being heavily involved in the journalism department.

It was at San Jose State where things changed for the great. He met his amazing wife Sandra Proudman who is his partner in everything – life and photography. See her great images at www.sandraproudman.com.

From there Joe ventured to New York City where he earned a master’s in digital media journalism from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University. While in Manhattan, Joe interned at The New York Times on the Lens Blog, learning from some simply amazing journalists. After Columbia Joe did a stint at the Star-Ledger in New Jersey as a visual intern. A simply fantastic paper, with an even more fantastic staff. He covered everything from the New York Yankees to protest in Trenton, and even a rodeo – yes there are real cowboys in Jersey.

Currently Joe and Sandra are enjoying Lake Tahoe, and are available for weddings, commercial and editorial photography. The two are willing to travel throughout California and Neveda for work. They also sell prints of their photography on Etsy.
